With Works from the Erling Kagge Collection
The juxtaposition of contemporary art from the Erling Kagge Collection and works from Kode’s historical collection creates a dynamic, artistic dialogue across centuries and styles – Anne Imhof and Francisco Goya, Trisha Donnelly and Peder Balke, Tauba Auerbach and Synnøve Anker Aurdal, among others. By generating these visual dialogues, the catalogue addresses how “nature” has traversed from the 19th-century ideal of landscape to a wider category of ecology as a reflection on the state of human society.
